Spaceport America Runway Dedication


Following this year's conference, ISPCS attendees will be able to participate in the Runway Dedication at Spaceport America on Friday, October 22, a major event of Space Week in New Mexico. One of the highlights of the dedication will a flyover of Virgin Galactic's WhiteKnightTwo and SpaceShipTwo, the first long-distance capture-carry of the two aircraft. This event is not open to the public, and you must be an ISPCS attendee and select this option when registering for ISPCS. Registration for this event will close on September 24, 2010. The cost is $125 per person.

Space and Sand Tour

New Mexico Museum of Space History
Tuesday's tour heads to the east of Las Cruces to visit the New Mexico Museum of Space History and IMAX Theater in Alamogordo, NM, followed by a visit to White Sands National Monument, a stunning natural wonder. The New Mexico Museum of Space History Contains exhibitions ranging from Robert Goddard's early rocket experiments near Roswell to a mock-up of the International Space Station, a hall of fame of space exploration, the IMAX theater and more www.nmspacemuseum.org .  Lunch will be served in the air and space park and astronaut memorial garden (weather White Sands National Monument permitting). Guests will stop at White Sands National Monument on the return trip to Las Cruces to take in this stunning 275 square miles of pure white gypsum sand http://www.nps.gov/whsa/index.htm.  Cost will be $60 per person.  This includes:  transportation, admission to museum, admission to IMAX, boxed lunch, and admission to White Sands National Monument.  If you are interested in this tour make sure to check this option when registering for ISPCS.  The bus will go through a Border Patrol Check Station if you are not a US Citizen  YOU MUST HAVE YOUR ID AND PASSPORT WITH YOU. The cost is $60 per person.
